Hydro excavation operator who’s not afraid to jump out of the cab and swing a shovel – plan ahead and build the business potential. 

About the role

This is a unique opportunity for a Class 4 licenced driver who’s not afraid to get their hands dirty. You’ll operate the hydro gear and might even jump on the shovel occasionally. You’ll be supported by the team and resources in Auckland.

Representing the company, you’ll be involved in customer facing development, coordinating future potential and building a presence in the Bay of Plenty.


  • Drive / operate hydro excavation truck
  • Provide services as required by customers
  • Develop working relationships with customers and contractors to assure future work
  • Administrate and coordinate additional resources as required
  • Complete accurate paperwork and job sheets

Skills and experience

Looking to grow your career while developing business for our client, whether on site or at industry gatherings, you won’t be shy to step up and promote the business and recognise opportunity, building solid relationships along the way.

A background in civil construction or similar would be an advantage, physical fitness is a must. Full training will be given on operating equipment. 

  • Class 4 Drivers Licence
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral
  • The ability to form solid business relationships with contractors and potential customers
  • The drive to expand your experience and career from driver/operator to a more senior position
